Clause 25.1

Subcontracting

Purpose

The Contractor may subcontract work. The Contractor is responsible for Subcontractors' acts and omissions.

Practical Application

Subcontractors must comply with the contract. The Contractor remains fully liable for their performance.

Common Pitfalls

The PM may not unreasonably veto subcontractor appointments. Obtain PM acceptance before appointing key subcontractors.
