Clause 40.1

Tests and Inspections

Purpose

The Contractor provides materials, facilities, and access for tests and inspections.

Practical Application

The Supervisor may inspect any part of the works at any time. The Contractor provides reasonable assistance.

Common Pitfalls

If tests fail, the cost of retesting is borne by the Contractor unless the failure was due to an Employer risk.
