Clause 33.1

Acceleration

Purpose

The PM instructs the Contractor to submit a quotation for acceleration.

Practical Application

Acceleration is optional — the Contractor provides a quotation, but the PM decides whether to accept it.

Common Pitfalls

Acceleration is not a CE. If the Contractor accelerates voluntarily without instruction, the cost is not recoverable.
