CE — Correction of Assumptions

Purpose

If the PM made assumptions when assessing a CE that prove incorrect, the CE is reassessed.

Practical Application

Reassessment applies both ways — the Contractor may receive more or less depending on actual outcome.

Common Pitfalls

Keep records of all assumptions used in CE assessments. The PM should document assumptions clearly.
