CE — Equipment Damage

Purpose

The Employer or others working on the Employer's behalf damage the Contractor's Equipment. The Contractor is entitled to a CE for the resulting delay and cost.

Practical Application

Damage caused by other contractors employed by the Employer or the Employer's own workforce triggers this CE. The Contractor notifies and documents the damage.

Common Pitfalls

Damage caused by the Contractor's own subcontractors or workforce is not a CE. The Contractor bears the risk of its own operations.
