Clause 61.1

Notification by PM

Purpose

The PM notifies the Contractor of a CE within one week of becoming aware of it.

Practical Application

The PM has an active duty to notify CEs. The PM cannot simply rely on the Contractor to identify all events.

Common Pitfalls

If the PM fails to notify within one week, the Contractor may still notify under 61.3.
