Clause 61.7

CE — Correction of Assumptions

Purpose

If the PM made assumptions when assessing a CE and those assumptions prove wrong, the CE is reassessed.

Practical Application

The PM may use assumptions to expedite CE assessments. If assumptions are later found incorrect, the CE is reassessed.

Common Pitfalls

The reassessment applies both ways — the Contractor may receive more OR less depending on the actual outcome.
