CE — Employer's Delays

Purpose

If the Employer does not give possession as required, it is assessed as a CE.

Practical Application

Late site access or restricted access is a CE. The assessment includes both time and cost impacts.

Common Pitfalls

The extent of possession required should be clear in the Works Information. Ambiguity favours the Contractor.
