Insurance Cover

Purpose

Insurance is taken out before work starts and maintained until the Defects Certificate.

Practical Application

The Contractor provides evidence of insurance to the PM before starting work.

Common Pitfalls

If insurance lapses, the Employer may take out insurance and deduct the cost. Avoid this by submitting renewal evidence.
