Information Modelling (BIM)

Purpose

The Contractor provides information in a form compatible with the Employer's information model. The information requirements are stated in the Works Information.

Practical Application

The Contractor delivers data, models, and documentation in the specified format and to the specified level of detail at each project stage.

Common Pitfalls

BIM requirements must be clearly defined in the Works Information. Vague or evolving requirements can lead to significant additional cost for the Contractor.
