Changes in the Law

Purpose

A change in the law after the Contract Date is a CE.

Practical Application

The Contractor is entitled to additional time and cost if a new law affects the work.

Common Pitfalls

Anticipated changes in law are not CEs. Only changes after the Contract Date qualify.
