Clause 20.3

Design — Contractor Design

Purpose

The Contractor submits the design of the parts it is required to design to the PM for acceptance. The PM accepts the design if it complies with the Works Information.

Practical Application

Submit design deliverables in stages as agreed in the Works Information. The PM reviews each submission against the scope and specifications.

Common Pitfalls

PM acceptance of the design does not reduce the Contractor's design liability. Fitness for purpose remains the standard unless the Works Information states otherwise.
