Payment Certificates — Correction
The PM may correct any certificate in a later certificate. The correction applies retrospectively.
The PM may adjust an earlier certificate if new information emerges or an error is discovered. The adjustment is made in the next certificate.
Late corrections can disrupt cash flow. The Contractor should track cumulative amounts paid versus expected to detect corrections disguised in later certificates.
