CE — Employer's Delayed Access

Purpose

The Employer does not give possession of a part of the Site by the date stated in the Contract Data.

Practical Application

Late or restricted Site access is a CE. The assessment includes time and cost impacts.

Common Pitfalls

The extent of possession required should be clear in the Works Information. Ambiguity favours the Contractor.
