CE — Instruction Changing the Scope
The Project Manager gives an instruction changing the Scope. This does not include a change to the Scope provided by the Contractor for its design which is made at the Contractor's request or in order to comply with the Scope provided by the Client.
Any PM instruction that changes the Scope is a compensation event. The Contractor should be notified at the time of the instruction.
Changes to the Contractor's own design made at the Contractor's request, or to comply with the Scope, are not compensation events.
