PM's Own Assessment — Procedure

Purpose

The PM notifies the Contractor of their own assessment of a CE. The notification states the assessment and the reasons for it.

Practical Application

The PM's assessment is used when the Contractor does not submit a quotation, the quotation is not accepted, or the PM decides to assess differently.

Common Pitfalls

The PM's assessment must give reasons. An assessment without reasons can be challenged. The Contractor should request reasons if none are given.
