Clause 16.2

The Supervisor — Response to Warnings

Purpose

The Supervisor responds to matters notified by the Contractor and takes appropriate action, including instructing tests or inspections.

Practical Application

The Supervisor acts on notifications from the Contractor or PM regarding quality concerns. They may direct the Contractor to open up work for inspection.

Common Pitfalls

If the Supervisor does not respond promptly to a notified concern, the Contractor should escalate to the PM to avoid programme delays.
