Meeting Key Dates
The Contractor does the work so that the Condition stated for each Key Date is met by the Key Date. Key Dates require specific conditions to be achieved by stated dates, distinct from overall Completion.
Key Dates are defined in the Contract Data with associated conditions. The Contractor plans and executes work to meet each condition by its Key Date, even if overall Completion is later.
Failing to meet a Key Date condition may trigger the Client's right to recover additional costs under clause 25.3. Key Date failures are distinct from late Completion and have separate financial consequences.
