Clause 36.2

Acceleration — Costs

Purpose

If the PM accepts the Contractor's quotation for acceleration, the Contractor is entitled to the costs stated in the accepted quotation. The Prices are adjusted accordingly.

Practical Application

Acceleration costs may include overtime, additional resources, shift work, and expedited deliveries. The quotation itemises each cost element.

Common Pitfalls

Acceleration quotations must be carefully calculated. Underquoting leads to unrecoverable costs. Overquoting may cause the PM to reject or seek alternatives.
