Clause 42.1

Defects Correction

Purpose

The Contractor corrects notified defects. A defect is corrected by making the work or equipment conform to the Works Information.

Practical Application

Correction methods may include repair, replacement, or re-execution. The chosen method must achieve full compliance with the Works Information.

Common Pitfalls

Cosmetic or partial correction that does not achieve full compliance is insufficient. The Supervisor determines whether the correction is satisfactory.
