CE Notification — Retrospective
The Contractor may notify a CE after the eight-week period if the event is continuing and the notification is given within eight weeks of the event ceasing.
For ongoing events (e.g., prolonged access restrictions), the time bar period runs from when the event ends, not from when it started.
The Contractor must still notify as soon as reasonably practicable even for ongoing events. Delaying notification until the event ends may prejudice the Employer's ability to mitigate the impacts.
