Clause 62.4

CE Quotation — Implementation

Purpose

The PM implements the CE by notifying the Contractor of acceptance of the quotation. The changes to the Prices, Completion Date, and Key Dates take effect on the date of notification.

Practical Application

Implementation formalises the CE. The Contractor records the implemented CE in the CE register and updates the programme and cost forecasts accordingly.

Common Pitfalls

CEs are not effective until formally implemented. The Contractor should not assume a CE is accepted just because a quotation was submitted — wait for formal implementation notice.
